Queen Snowworks

Who we are

Queen SNOWWORKS began with one question: Why should splitboarders settle for slower, heavier, and more complicated gear than skiers?

As lifelong snowboarders and engineers, we knew there had to be a better way. What started as a mechanical engineering capstone project at The University of Utah quickly turned into a full-time mission - to create the fastest, lightest, and most intuitive splitboard binding system ever made.

We believe the backcountry demands gear that’s simple, reliable, and built to last. Every component we design is guided by four core principles:

  • Speed: Faster transitions mean more laps and the ability to keep up with our skier counterparts.

  • Weight: Every gram matters when you’re miles deep in the mountains.

  • Durability: Your gear should outlast the season and work in any weather conditions.

  • Intuition: Setup should be so seamless you can do it in gloves, in the dark, or a whiteout storm.

Meet the Team

Will crump

  • Hi! I’m Will. I’m a Salt Lake local and I’ve been skiing almost since I started walking.  Outside of skiing my main interests are cars, motorcycles, and golfing.  Joining Queen Snowworks was a no brainer for me because it gives me a chance to combine my love of engineering with my love of winter sports.  I’ve had a great time working with the team and getting to know them this year.

Will Connors

  • Hi I’m Will Connors. I’m a lifelong skier originally from Seattle. I made my way to Salt Lake City and the University of Utah to ski and get my mechanical engineering degree. I am very passionate about the outdoors, so when I got the opportunity to combine my skills as an engineer with my passion, I jumped for it. Being part of Queen SNOWWORKS has taught me so much about the design process and helped me refine my skills. I hope to continue my career working in design so that everyday is a new challenge to solve.

  • Hey! My name is Jesse, and I’m a Salt Lake City native with a lifelong love for the outdoors, snowboarding, and anything that moves - cars, trucks, and airplanes. I’ve always had a deep appreciation for for how things work, which naturally led me to pursue a degree studying Mechanical Engineering at the UofU.

Outside of school, I’m a designer for Queen SNOWWORKS, where I am working to make major changes in the backcountry industry. My passion for snowboarding and design come together perfectly on this project and I can’t wait to see where we can take it! Looking forward, I hope to continue advancing as a design engineer while growing Queen SNOWWORKS into a household name.

Zack Lemieux

Logan queen

  • I’m Logan, a Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Utah and a lifelong snowboarder. Growing up in the Midwest, the pull of the western mountains brought me to Salt Lake City. On the skintrack, I kept running into the same problem—gear that slowed me down. So I started Queen SNOWWORKS to design backcountry snowboard gear without compromise.

  • Hey I’m Zack! I grew up skiing in Vermont, where my home mountain was Burke. I spent 18 years in Vermont before moving to Salt Lake City to attend the University of Utah - where I found Queen SNOWWORKS and have been working to make the best backcountry snowboard gear ever since.
